I thought it was mentioned somewhere that Bayo had such a huge lead when the ballot started that there was no question she wouldn't finish first when they started development on her. I don't think it's unreasonable that they would have settled on her being the ballot character early since it takes so much time to develop a new character. The ballot was also going to be used to scout out other popular characters for sequels and Mii outfits, so it still served its purpose.

I couldn't disagree more about the 3DS review. Having smash available as a portable title is amazing ( another reason why Ultimate will rock so much), and I still play it nowadays even more often than the Wii U version since I can take it anywhere. It's great to get a couple games going when out with friends, and it's nice when waiting in line at a convention or something to simply pull out the 3DS and get the games of Smash going with strangers. Saying it has no reason to exist is really harsh. A portable Smash Bros. game should always be an option imo

My favorite thing is how Darths and Droids has Obi-Wan's character as being the most reasonable out of the group so they have to jump through a few hoops to explain why he acts so crazy in the opening chase scene.

Tapping to run/gallop/row is such a bad mechanic, especially when fast travel is so limited so you have to ride almost everywhere. Every time I play I can feel my thumb cramping up from just tapping X over and over before, during, and after every mission.

This is probably the only thing I'd change about the game. I have to constantly mash the X button every single time I'm on my horse. It sucks because sometimes I want to look at the scenery while also going as fast as I can, so I have to awkwardly move the right stick while continuing to mash the X button. A toggle ON/OFF would be great.

I found it a lot better when I realized once you're at the speed you're comfortable with you only have to press X occasionally. You don't even lose stamina if you time it right.
